Formal Invitation
According to Websters, formal invitation mean:

A formal invitation is an invitation which follows a dignified form, tone, or style in agreement with the established norms, customs, or values (Websters, 2012).
For example:
(Sebagai contoh: )
- An invitation to the opening of a school (undangan pembukaan sekolah)
- An invitation to a graduation ceremony (undangan pesta kelulusan)
- An invitation to a wedding (undangan pernikahan)

Common Format of Formal Invitation
Common format of formal invitation is:
(Bentuk umum dari formal invitation adalah: )
- The first line is the name(s) of the person(s) who invite(s).
- (Baris pertama adalah nama dari orang yang diundang)
- The second line is the request for participation.
- (Baris kedua adalah permintaan untuk menghadiri acara)
- The third line is the names of the person(s) invited.
- (Baris ketiga adalah nama orang yang diundang)
- The fourth line is the occasion for invitation.
- (Baris keempat adalah isi undangan / undangan tentang apa)
- The fifth line is the time and date of the occasion.
- (Baris kelima adalah waktu dan tanggal acara)
- The sixth line is the place of the occasion.
- (Baris keenam adalah tanggal acara)
- The last line is the request for reply
- (Baris terakhir adalah permohonan balasan undangan)
All structure above must be in order and cannot be replaced each other!
