A. Professions
In this chapter we are going to learn how to ask and give information about someone professions or jobs.
(Pada bab ini kita akan mempelajari bagaimana menanyakan dan memberikan informasi tentang pekerjaan seseorang)
To ask someone job (Untuk menanyakan pekerjaan seseorang):
- What do ….. ?
- What does …. ?
Example (Contohnya) :
- What does your father do?
- What does your mother do?
- What does he do ?
- What do you do?
- What do they do?
Remember (Ingatlah!) :
- We use “do” when the subjects are I, You, We, They. (Kita menggunakan “do” ketika subjeknya saya, kamu, kita, mereka)
- We use “does” when the subjects are He, She, It. (Kita menggunakan “does” ketika subjeknya dia laki-laki, dia perempuan, hewan atau benda)
To state someone job (Untuk memberikan informasi pekerjaan seseorang):
- I am a …. I …..
- He is a …. He …
- She is a …. She ….
Example (Contohnya) :
- I am a student. I study at SMP Luhur Baladika.
- He is a teacher. He teach every student.
- She is a nurse. She helps doctor.
Vocabulary list :
- Student = siswa
- Teacher = guru
- Doctor = doktor
- Nurse = perawat
- Soldier = tentara
- Farmer = petani
- Gardener = tukang kebun
- Pilot = pilot
- Fisherman = nelayan
- Civil servant = pegawai negeri
- Writer = penulis
- Journalist = jurnalis

B. Habit
To ask someone habit (Untuk menanyakan kebiasaan seseorang):
- Do you always …. ?
- Do you usually … ?
Example (Contohnya):
- Do you always come early to school everyday?
- Do you usually eat at late night?
To state someone habit (Untuk memberikan informasi kebiasaan seseorang):
- I always ….
- She always ….
- He usually …
Example (Contohnya):
- I always do a breakfast every morning.
- She always come late.
- He usually play a game until late night.
